A lot of the times, we hold ourselves back and I will tell you why.   Here are 15 reasons you are not as successful as you want to be or not successful at all. You hold the keys.

  1. You Don’t Believe In yourself

How can you expect anyone else to believe in you, your goals, your dreams, if you don’t even believe you.  You just dream, talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk. You never make any serious attempts to go after what you want.  You don’t talk with the “winners” type of attitude, but instead, you talk with doubt, what if’s, I think.  How do you expect anyone else to believe in you and you don’t even believe in you?  Let me give you a tip, the more skills you acquire, this will definitely beef up your self-esteem to get the confidence you need to believe in yourself.  Another tip, look deep inside of you and discover all the great things about you and just start wearing it. No matter how tired successful people are, they don’t whine about; they just keep going.  Real Entrepreneurs work long hours, extremely hard and they don’t cry about it.  They know that things have to get done and they’re going to do it. Most just have that “sleep when you die” attitude…well not literally, but you get the point.  You definitely won’t be successful if you are lazy, so get off your butt and “just do it.” Work, Work, Work, Work, Work, like Rihanna says.

3. You Stay In Your Head

This hurts so many of us. A lot of us are guilty of staying in our heads. You rarely act on great idea, dreams, goals.  You over-analyze every little detail and at the end, you talk yourself out of doing anything at all.  How does this make you feel? Successful People act on their dreams and goals, no matter how hard.  Do you remember the words your teacher told you in grade school “Can’t shouldn’t be in your vocabulary. ”  Well, why are those in your vocabulary now? If you never take that chance, you would never know what could have been. So get out of your head!

4. You Are Not Working Hard As You Should be

When you are trying to reach a certain goal, every little extra time you have, should be working towards reaching that goal. Forget what they say “All work and no play isn’t good.” Yes it is, especially when you know there is possible gold on the other end of the rainbow.  You are trying to do something great, so you have to be as productive as you can be.  Delete all those distractions, the play time, everything has to go, until you reach that goal. You can do it.

5. You Focus Too Much On Money

Sometimes people focus too much on the money, instead of perfecting their skills and the product. Money will come, especially when you work hard, believe in you, your product and you are passionate about what you are doing.  If you love what you do, money will rarely be a factor because it’s not really work to you.  Because Successful People are passionate about what they do, they can work endlessly on their business, and sometimes without making one dollar, without any complaints. This is why they are so successful; The Millionaire Mindset. Which one are you? Money will come.  Don’t give up. Just know when to throw in the towel.

Do you feel fresh and rejoiced or worn down? Do you know someone that shoots down every single compliment or every word that comes out of their mouths are distasteful?  Is that you? I understand that no one’s life is perfect, but something can’t go wrong everyday. Those type of people will beat themselves up internally, emotionally, talk themselves out of a job or lose a Business Sale. You know why because they don’t see value in themselves, and in return, it makes them very negative.  Do yourself a favor, look in the mirror every day and say “I am the best.” Pretty soon, those negative thoughts will soon fade away; TRUST ME.

7. You Are Too Busy Socializing On Facebook Or Instagram

Now, if you are the average person, most people check their Instagram a.k.a. Insta and Facebook a.k.a. FB notifications before they get out the bed in the morning and before they go to bed at night. The average Social Media User checks their Facebook Account at least 14 times a day and maybe more on Instagram. Is that you? Yes Insta and FB are nice and entertaining, but how are you going to run a successful business if you are too busy socializing all day. Those Social Media Platforms are addictive. Yes, engaging with your customers sometimes are a must or slightly socializing with friends and family is ok, but anything else is just illogical. When you build a business or become an Entrepreneur, you become it. If you have not implemented this in your mind that you are a business, you are not really a business, no matter what you say.  If you do not dress, talk or act like you are a business, then you are not a business.  If you do not rely on the business you created to make you money, then you are not a business. 15 Reasons You Are Not As Successful As You Want To Be

Yes we all feel like we have super powers at some point, but running a business, not even Superman or Wonder Woman can do it alone. This is the fastest way to failure.  Just like it takes a village to raise a kid, it takes a team to build a successful business.  Yes, most Business Owners start out running their companies alone, but as the business needs grow, you will eventually need a team. No successful business becomes a success with a One Man or One Woman Show running it…well, not many.  Tip, for the Small Business Owner, hire a few College Interns and pay them at least minimum wages or a bring on a Part-Time Partner to help with the business, so that you won’t get burned out, and your business will thrive, in return.

10. You Think Everything Need to Be Perfect

Yes, we all want to be the best and most of us want everything to be perfect, but you are just wasting time trying to be perfect. No one is a Perfectionist, not even you. So it is best to just put the product out or start the business and grow it, while you are working on perfecting it. Do you know what happens to So-Called Perfectionists, they stay stuck, fail, never finish anything. Is that you Mr. or Ms. Perfect? Put the product out or act on that brilliant ideal, before someone else does it first.

11. You Don’t Network With Like-Minded People

There is no reason at all for any business or Entrepreneur to not be able to find like-minded people to network with. With Social Media, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.  There are so many Business Associations and Entrepreneur Groups available on Social Media.  Meet Up has all types of groups and Business Affiliations.  Twitter has something called Twitter Lists, for Twittlers who share similar interests.  And most of these groups are free, so there is no excuse for your lack of networking Have you ever heard the term, “It’s who you know?”  You need to network more because you may meet a group member that knows someone who is interested in your product or you two be able to help each other. Point is, you have to network in order to grow a successful business. So get off your butt and get out there and find your world.

Go after what you want, no matter how unattainable it seems. Believe in you. Do you think Millionaires knew they were going to be Millionaires early on? Yes, they knew it. You know why, because they think big. They make big plans. They think long-term vs only short-term. They make long-term goals and stick to it.  Never limit yourself, your dreams or your goals. Think BIG!

13. Continue To Learn

One thing every Millionaire or Successful Person have in common is they constantly read; they continuously learn.  Always look for ways to enhance your knowledge. Whether it’s reading a book or learning about a new trend or a new class or watching a “How To” You tube Video or listening to a seminar, you have to constantly feed your brain new knowledge. You never know what information you may stumble up on that may be useful. You never know what great business idea may come from listening to that boring Webinar.  But best of all, knowledge is power.  Knowledge is sexy.  Knowledge leads to money.  And we all love money.

14. You Are Too Comfortable

Being too comfortable makes us lazy. Being too comfortable makes us less productive. Being too Comfortable makes us not follow our dreams. The rapper 50 Cent talked about what being too comfortable can do to you in his 50th Law Of Power, written by Robert Greene.  It can keep you in one place. Is that what you want?  Do you want success? Tip; Make your life so uncomfortable, to where it’s going to motivate to work extremely hard toward your goals. It really works.

15. STOP Mismanaging Your Money

Not managing your money correctly or running out of money is the main reasons Small Businesses fail.  Spending too much money, especially spending more than you are making is very unhealthy for a growing business.  Spending too much money could be dangerous even in your personal life. You ever heard of Millionaires going broke or the Millionaire Lottery Winner who went broke in a few years? Yeah Buddy, it happens. For any business to survive and prosper, you must learn to manage your money adequately. You have to set a budget and stick to it or you will be in that 8 out of 10  Entrepreneurs that failed  within 18 months.  The Entrepreneur life is real and some people just don’t have it in them.

  1. This hits home for me. I can tell you, I fall under at least 12 of these reasons after reading this. I want to start a small business and piggyback it off my blog. Unfortunately, my blog took a turn for the worse this year and has yet to recover. My views and visits have been cut in half so my earnings are down as well. I need to get more people on my blog before I can invest in an online shop. I’ll have to work harder and stop being so negative.
